BUGS APLENTY!

  • The Elisabeth Jones Art Center 516 NW 14TH AVE Portland, OR (map)

I will have 4 encaustic paintings in this exhibition at The Elisabeth Jones Art Center

They may be small, and we may not always notice them, but insects are the dominant form of animal life on this planet! Close to a million species of insects have been described to date and those insects are the linchpins of the living world, carrying out many of the functions that make life possible. However, studies have shown that insect populations are in a steep decline. From habitat loss and degradation, to pollution, pesticides, climate change, and disease – these essential creatures are in jeopardy.

A portion of all artwork sales will go to the Xerces Society, a Portland-based nonprofit focused on research and conservation of invertebrates.
